How do you connect WhatsApp to HubSpot?

Install the app in your HubSpot portal, link your WhatsApp, then choose which chats sync. New messages are logged on the matching contact's timeline as WhatsApp communications, and a card on the contact record shows the chat with a box to reply.

Chats on the right contact

Each new message is matched to a contact by phone number and logged on their timeline as a WhatsApp communication, with the time it was sent.

New numbers become contacts

When someone new messages you, the app creates the contact with their number and WhatsApp name, so nobody falls through the cracks.

Reply from the contact record

A WhatsApp card on the contact shows the latest messages and lets you send a reply without picking up your phone.

You choose what HubSpot sees

Sync full message text or only the fact that a message happened. Leave groups out and block numbers you never want logged.

Set up WhatsApp for HubSpot

A few minutes, done once by one person. Everyone else keeps using WhatsApp as usual.

Install the app in HubSpot
Start from the app's site and approve access for your portal. It asks to read and write contacts, so it can find the right person and add new ones.
Link your WhatsApp
Open Linked devices on your phone and scan the code in the app's dashboard. Your phone keeps working as normal.
Choose what syncs
Pick the groups to include, keep any number out, and choose whether HubSpot gets the full message text or only that a message happened.

Open a contact to see their WhatsApp chat. Type in the card to reply on WhatsApp.

It works with a linked personal or WhatsApp Business app number, not the WhatsApp Business API.
Contacts are matched by phone number. Save numbers with the country code so matches work.
