How do you connect WhatsApp to ServiceM8?

Link your WhatsApp, connect ServiceM8, then choose the job for each WhatsApp group. New messages and captions become job diary notes with the sender and local time, and photos, videos, files and voice notes are attached to the job.

Messages and captions become job diary notes with who sent them and the local time.

Photos and files on the job

Photos, videos, documents and voice notes are attached to the job.

Locations with a map link

A shared location becomes a diary note with a Google Maps link, plus the name or address when WhatsApp includes one.

Stop any time

Remove a mapping to stop syncing. Anything already saved stays on the job.

Set up WhatsApp for ServiceM8

A few minutes, done once by one person. Everyone else keeps using WhatsApp as usual.

Open the app
Go to the app's site and open the dashboard.
Link WhatsApp and connect ServiceM8
Scan the code from Linked devices on your phone, then approve access to your ServiceM8 account.
Choose a job for each group
Pick a WhatsApp group and the ServiceM8 job it belongs to. Several groups can map to one job.

What it does not do

Only mapped groups sync. Direct chats are not sent to ServiceM8.
