We save the messages in the chats and groups you pick: the text, who sent it, when, and the files shared there. That is what makes search work.

What your AI asks for
When you ask a question, your AI app calls the tools you allowed and gets the matching messages back. Its maker handles that data under its own terms.
Two ways to connect WhatsApp
Linked devices, like WhatsApp Web
For the number you already use. You link it from Linked devices in WhatsApp, the same way you set up WhatsApp Web. We do not ask for your WhatsApp password or SMS code. Remove the link from your phone and it stops.
WhatsApp Business API, through Meta
For templates and campaigns to customers who opted in. You connect your own number through Meta's sign-up flow. Meta reviews each template and charges per message.
What your AI apps can do
Every AI app signs in with OAuth. No passwords or keys to paste.
You allow each app
An AI app gets access only after you sign in and allow it. The Allow screen lists what it will be able to do.
Sending needs your yes
Keep the send tool on Ask in your AI app and you see the recipient and message before each send. Some connections only prepare a message for you to send yourself.
Remove an app any time
Connected apps lists every AI app and CLI with access. Remove one and it loses access right away. Your WhatsApp stays linked.

How we protect it
- Encrypted link keys. The keys that keep your WhatsApp linked are stored encrypted.
- No reusable passwords for AI apps. AI apps sign in with OAuth, and we keep only one-way hashes of their access tokens.
- One account, one fence. An AI app you connect can reach only the WhatSync account you signed in with.
- Encrypted in transit. Traffic to WhatSync goes over HTTPS.
No system is completely secure. Keep your phone, email and AI app accounts protected, and never share a QR code, sign-in code or API key with anyone.

Unlink WhatsApp
From WhatSync, or from Linked devices on your phone. Either one ends the connection.
