What each one is
WAPlus is a free WhatsApp CRM extension. It adds custom tabs, labels, reminders, quick replies and AI translation to WhatsApp Web. Paid tiers add broadcasts, an AI chatbot, chat backup and, on Growth, CRM integrations. The same team builds WADeck, a cloud workspace for WhatsApp and Telegram teams.
WA Web Plus is a paid productivity and marketing extension. It adds broadcasting, message templates, smart replies, tasks and scheduled messages. Its campaign limit counts saved campaigns, not messages per campaign.
Pricing
WAPlus's pricing page showed Starter at $12.99, Pro at $17.99 and Growth at $20.99 per user, with higher struck-through prices of $18.99, $24.99 and $28.99. Older listings show $9.99, $18.90 and $24.90. A Free plan is always available.
WA Web Plus lists Starter at $14.99 a month for one user, Professional at $34.99 and Expert at $49.99, with more users, campaigns and tasks on each step.
For one person, the two cost about the same. For a team of five, WA Web Plus's flat plans can be cheaper than WAPlus per-user pricing.
What both share
Extensions run inside your browser on WhatsApp Web. If the laptop is closed, scheduled messages and automations wait; a third-party review notes this for WA Web Plus. Bulk sending from a personal or app number also risks restrictions if recipients report it as spam. For volume marketing, the official Business API is the safer path.
Where WhatSync fits
If the job is getting WhatsApp conversations into your CRM, WhatSync does that for Attio from a server, not a browser tab, so it keeps syncing when your laptop is closed. It can also give Claude or ChatGPT access to your chats through the WhatsApp MCP server.
Questions
- Is WAPlus free?
- WAPlus has a free plan with limits such as two custom tabs and a few reminders. Paid plans are priced per user.
- Do WhatsApp Web extensions work when Chrome is closed?
- No. They run inside WhatsApp Web in your browser, so scheduled messages and automations need the browser open.
- Can these extensions get my number banned?
- Ordinary CRM features are low risk. Sending bulk messages from a regular WhatsApp number can lead to restrictions if people report it.
