What each one is

AiSensy is an Indian WhatsApp marketing platform known for its low prices and free plan. It covers broadcasts, a team inbox, click-to-WhatsApp ads, and a chatbot builder, with plans priced in rupees.

WATI is a broader WhatsApp Business API platform sold worldwide. Its paid plans include a team inbox, broadcasts, a no-code chatbot builder, an AI agent and integrations.

Pricing

AiSensy's Basic plan is reported at ₹1,500 a month and Pro at ₹3,200 a month on monthly billing, with a Free Forever plan underneath. Reviews say the chatbot builder costs extra at roughly ₹2,000 to ₹2,500 a month and that agents beyond the first five are about ₹750 each.

WATI's Growth plan is reported at $59 a month billed yearly or $69 monthly, with Pro and Business above it. For an Indian team, WATI is several times the price of AiSensy at the entry level.

Both add a markup to Meta's per-message charge. One review lists AiSensy's marketing message at ₹1.09 against Meta's ₹0.8631 at the time. Ask both vendors for their current rate card.

Meta's charges come on top

Both platforms use the official WhatsApp Business Platform, so you pay Meta for each delivered template message on top of the software fee. The rate depends on the message category and the recipient's country. Meta's October 1, 2026 pricing update also made replies inside the 24-hour customer service window billable; check how each platform passes that through before comparing totals.

The number to compare is not the plan price. It is the plan price plus your expected message volume times each platform's per-message rate, including any markup it adds over Meta.

Which one to pick

Choose AiSensy if you are in India, you mostly need broadcasts and a shared inbox, and keeping the monthly bill low matters most.

Choose WATI if you need an AI agent, deeper automation, more integrations or support outside India, and the higher price is worth less setup work.

Where WhatSync fits

WhatSync is not a broadcast or campaign tool, so it does not replace either platform here. It covers two jobs these platforms leave to you: keeping every WhatsApp conversation on the right Attio record, and letting an AI app such as Claude or ChatGPT read your chats and send approved messages through the WhatsApp MCP server.

Questions

Does AiSensy have a free plan?
Yes. AiSensy offers a Free Forever plan with limits. You still pay Meta's message charges for the messages you send.
Is AiSensy cheaper than WATI?
Yes at the entry level. AiSensy Basic is reported at ₹1,500 a month while WATI Growth is reported at $59 to $69 a month. Add-ons and message markups can narrow the gap.
Which has better chatbots?
WATI includes its chatbot builder and AI agent on paid plans. AiSensy's builder is reported as a paid add-on. Try both on one real flow before deciding.
